Iturmendi took off from Zephyrhills Airport in Florida, USA, as part of the test flights of the aircraft, which currently holds the world altitude record for electric aircraft in its weight class, reaching an impressive 24,000 feet (7,300 meters).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The significance of this advance lies in the fact that aviation is probably one of the most difficult transportation sectors to electrify, due to the high energy density required to put an aircraft into flight.
